This paper has two purposes. First, it describes the composition of Norway’s fish exports and how it has changed over the last ten years or so. A question of particular interest is whether there has been an increased emphasis on processed products. Secondly, the paper examines the effects of the so-called EEA Agreement on Norwegian fish exports. It is found that Norway’s fish exports are dominated by lightly processed products, and has become increasingly so over the period considered. The tariff reductions on fish products in the wake of the EEA Agreement do not seem to have promoted exports of processed fish products from Norway to the EU market.en
