With climate change abatement as an important player in the policy agenda of Norway and Europe, the transportation industry finds itself in need of finding new ways to make the industry more environmental-friendly. Fuel is not only one of their principal working tools and a significant cost in the overall equation, but it could also be a step forward towards a greener transport industry. This research explores some of the potential outcomes of changing fuel sources for the logistics company Kuehne+Nagel. With a focus on CO2 emis-sions, the author compares actual and potential performance of diesel, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG) for specific transportation routes as well as the costs involved.nb_NO
