In the elaboration of the legal part of a Spanish/Norwegian-Norwegian/Spanish dictionary a series of lexical problems has arisen, among others how to deal with the necessity of new terms for designating new concepts or new phenomena in society. Encyclopedic dictionaries in the legal field combine the translation and/or explanation of terms with information about different styles (in the general language and in the technical languages), different legal systems, and cultural differences in a broad sense of the term “cultural”. These kinds of dictionaries will in the future be published in book format, but will also be available on the net, as CD-roms, or whatever might be the publishing channel, depending on the technological development.nb_NO
