dc.description.abstract | This master thesis investigates the Hewlett-Packard’s global business center in Poland as a successful example of a shared services center. The center performs and manages global business processes for the corporation in an effective and efficient way. The thesis focuses on three main aspects such as resources and capabilities, location and organization of the shared services center in Poland which is illustrated by the TCE model. OLI paradigm examines more in details the importance of the location factors for the shared services center in Poland. Recent phenomena such as business process outsourcing, shared services centers and offshoring are recalled in the context of better understanding of the globalized business operations. | en |
