Can entrepreneurial skills be taught? : experimental evidence from young Tanzania
Abstract
In this paper we are interested in measuring the impact of a business training
program held in Dar es Salaam as a partnership between the Norwegian School of
Economics and the University of Dar es Salaam Entrepreneurship Centre (UDEC) on
participants’ entrepreneurial skills.
Our findings show that weekend-long business training had a strong positive effect
on business knowledge and indicates some effect on financial and risk management
skills.
