Alder og endring i organisasjoner : en studie av Amesto Accounthouse
Abstract
This paper examines the role of age in development of attitudes and reactions towards organizational change in an accounting firm in Norway. The study is founded empirically on qualitative research interviews with the regional director of Amesto Accounthouse, Bergen, and four individuals employed at the Bergen branch. The results indicate a difference in attitudes and reactions towards change between the groups consisting of employees not yet 30 years of age and above 45 years of age, respectively, on the three main parameters of measurement, namely job satisfaction, motivation and organizational commitment. The findings in this study may be of particular interest for leaders in the Norwegian accounting sector, and both the theoretical elements presented, as well as the empirical evidence, may nurture inspiration for future research.
